Disney made a lot of money off Spiderman: Homecoming last night. 13 million gross. To put it in perspective though, Robert Downey Jr. is in the movie for about 3 minutes, and 13 million probably won’t cover his salary for the film when it’s all said and done. Slightly less than 1/1,000,000th of that was purchased by the Williamson household. Pretty good movie.
In the parks, Disney is expanding their mobile ordering system. We haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but the basic premise is that you order in advance through My Disney Experience, pay for your meal (can’t use dining plan as of yet,) and then when you get close to the restaurant, you let them know you’re there through the app, and they fix your food, totally avoiding the order queue.
This video has gone viral of the dad who couldn’t afford Disney simulating a roller coaster for his two year old daughter. A gofundme page was created for the family, which has already hit it’s target of $3,000.
